Overview
The Daytona OTF automatic knife is Microtech's latest front opening switchblade, and it is already become really popular.
At 85% the size of the Ultratech, Microtech’s original dual action out the front automatic knife, the Daytona OTF switchblade is made on the same machines, and with the same design plan as the flagship Ultratech.
One of the key features of the Daytona is a spring that is in an “at rest” position at all times, until the switch is activated and the blade is deployed. When a spring remains compressed, it can become fatigued. By keeping the spring in an uncompressed state, it assures that this automatic knife will operate effectively every time it is fired.
The Daytona switchblade also features a slim and lightweight machined 7075-T6 aluminum alloy handle which has been hard coat anodized to Military Specifications (MIL SPEC). In addition, the mirror polished, black carbon fiber inlays add a touch of class, and make a wonderful conversation piece!
The front opening blade of the Daytona automatic knife is made of strong, corrosion resistant S30-V stainless steel and is "scalpel sharp"!
