The Swinguard automatic knife has been around, it seems, forever, and is a timeless classic switchblade! Hand-made exclusively by a true legend, Frank Beltrame, of Maniago, Italy, you won't find a more finely crafted knife / collector's piece anywhere!
The blade on this baby is not your average bayonet-style blade. You will immediately notice the swedge styleing, a first for Frank Beltrame.
It's scales are a definite eye-catcher and conversation piece, as well. They've taken REAL Abalone nacre, or mother-of-pearl, (not the imitation stuff you usually find) and put it on a micarta base, which provides a strong and durable support for the delicate nacre.
One of the characteristic features of this switchblade legend is it's unique "swinging" handguard. Made of stainless steel, this "swinguard" prevents your hand from accidentally slipping onto the blade.
This style of automatic knife can be seen in the pockets and display cases of knife enthusiasts everywhere around the globe! Though, one thing you can be sure of is that you will not see many of these file worked beauties. You could be one of the few, proud owners, and this rare, Italian-made work of art will make you the envy of all who lay eyes upon it!!!
